Exchanging lindens.

If I've got a US dollar amount in my account, how do I turn that into linden dollars?

Just go inworld and buy lindens using the little blue dollar sign in the upper right hand corner. It takes USD from your account before utilizing any credit card on file.

Just want to verify before I process ...you're sure as it tells me I am buying the money for us$ not mentioning my $ on the account

Yeah, it should try to drain your US$ balance before it hits your card. But if you are new to this, you will want to know about an annoying bug: even though you already paid, L$ purchases count against your spending limits. So, since you put money up there in advance, you might not be able to buy L$ for a day or two :/

The limits get relaxed pretty quickly after your first purchase, but it does take a little time.

You can also use the Linden Exchange on the Second Life website if you want to buy your Lindens while offline from Second Life.
Just log into your account at www.secondlife.com and chose "Linden Dollar Exchange" from the blue left hand side bar.
