For the past few days I've had problems with parts of my body turning black. Typically with shoes (different designers) my legs turn black. Anyone else having this issue?

Not really. Rebaking your texture doesn't help?

turn off paletized textures (under the advanced menu), it's a problem with the viewer and some of the newer video drivers out there.

ctrl-alt-d brings up the advanced menu.
ctrl-alt-f7 turns off the paletized textures.

rebake and it should clear up

Nope, not at all...
relogging
a new skin
hitting appearance
changing my group
clearing my cache
etc etc
None of these things help.

You'll need to do that with each login - it doesn't persist - or switch to the RC for a more permanent fix.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Can this be fixed by switching to a different video driver?

*IF* she has an nVidia card and a driver higher than 175.19, then yes, it can be fixed by uninstalling the driver and installing 175.19. If she needs the higher driver version for another application, then the above fix or the Release Candidate 1.22 would be the way to go.

I've been having the same problem, but only if I wear boots. Its been driving me crazy and I also tried everything.
I'm gonna try and turn off the paletized textures. I sure hope it will help.
thanks a lot!

Seems this issue comes up many times now every day. NVidia changed their drivers making them currently partly incompatible with SL. This should be fixed in SL version 1.22. For now you either may switch off the mentioned palletized texture rendering, but you have to do this at every restart. Alternatively you can revert to an older good working driver. This problem caused by Nvidia drivers has been fixed in the Release Candidate. Use it.
