All I can say is... wow. I can see why there were lagging problems for some users in recent days.

I always wondered what may have caused this abnormal increase of users in recent days. Perhaps due to the Thanksgiving Day weekend in the U.S., maybe?

If so, I wouldn't be one bit surprised if there are a lot more users online come Christmas. 2008 seems to be the most active year for Second Life.

major lag issues,etc.
Anyone know?
One would think with all the servers,etc that the load would be distributed evenly.
Is it because of their internet service provider?
I got no clue how something on this scale works but I am curious.

I've spent the past 4 days screaming at my computer (and my poor husband) in frustration, as every simple thing I attempted to do was stymied by lag.

In between making policy changes to screw over their members, I'm really hoping LL can find a way to get the lag issues straightened out before we're overrun with even more new members.

Hm...did anyone check to see if they were bots?

The last 4 days were laggy here too. However, the lag affected everything: shopping on the net, my son playing WOW, etc. . . . and not just SL

Methinks holiday traffic on the entire net went up at various times throughout the past few days taxing the entire backbone of the Internet . . . so I don't think LL is solely to blame for this.

Yeah, it's that time of year again. People are doing online shopping for gifts, and that may be having an impact on the Internet, and I think SL is connected to a modem that involves the Internet.

Trust me, at least there are only... *uses calculator* 23 shopping days until Christmas as I post this.

At least come December 25, all the Internet shopping will cool down. If not, definitely by the time we ring in 2009.
