I've become aware of matchmaking and dating services in Second Life. How do these work? Have you used one? How did it go?

That's my friend's dating service. Look it up and ask her - she is great. She made enough money from her dating service to get a sim started - she is very good with people. Some of her matches amaze me.

My SL partner and I met through an SL dating service. When the owners left, we ended up buying it and taking it over.
We offer FREE services to everyone who joins. We have a romantic garden to take a date, a club with several weekly events, and we also have the actual dating service, where you post a pic and an ad for free and we will help you every step of the way.
we have had many matches made, if you want to talk to me about it, just IM me in world. We hold mixers, and are trying to hold speed dating, best thing is, while other places make you pay, you pay nothing with us. We were also members of the dating service and we do stand by our own meeting, as well as other couples we have helped to make a match.
