Toolbar Missing bottom of page

Hi a friend has a issue with their screen, recent problem of not having the tool bar at the bottlom of sl showing, or having just a partial one with chat and media, the screen size they are using is 1680x1050.
Has anyone any ideas, have done all the things like emptying caches and restarting and also reinstalling sl from new.
