Clothing Problem

Last night I put on a black top and when I went to remove it it would not come off. It shows in my inventory that the top is not being worn but yet I see it on my avatar. Due to having problems with my computer last night I did not worry too much about it.

I am now online and the dang top from last night is still on my avatar. I can put another top on and the old one goes away but, when the new top is taken off the old one appears again.

Please...someone tell me how to fix this

take the top off then go into "appearance" and then back out. That forces a rebake of your textures and it should be removed.

If that does not work, go to edit>preferrences>clear cache and relog. If that does not do it then hit "alt cntrl D". That will put a new menu on your UI callled "advance". Open it and find "character" then find "rebake". Hit it.

I've had this happen a couple of times and rebaking and clearing cache didn't work. In the end I did the test character thing, which fixed it, but I can't remember how to do it just now ... anybody?

In my experience it's never a nice top you get stuck wearing :)

That's another option found under the Advanced menu - CTRL ALT D to get the menu displayed on a PC (can't remember the keys for a Mac - sorry.)

CTRL+ALT+D = Advanced Menu. Then

Advanced/Character/Character Tests/Test Male (or Test Female)
