It appears that transactions are failing once again and not just on one side where it doesn't let you pay but also on the reciever's side so you pay, it gets deducted, it ostensibly gets sent to the reciever however it does not trigger any lsl calls due to a timeout so vendors don't work and you're money is essentially disappeared and only if you are lucky will you get A) it appearing in the reciever's finance history and B) the merchant will be honest enough to send it back or send you the product.
I won't mention who I was attempting to purche them from due to the naming names policy and because they haven't had enough time to right the situation which as they are a large and well respected gadget merchant (think semi-aquatic water horse). This is still amazingly frustrating though because it makes it a lot harder for them, a lot harder for me, and it means that I'm out quite a bit of money until it can be rectified.
Obligatory Question: Is anyone else starting to get annoyed with all these transaction issues?

"Login failed" "Login failed" "Login failed"
So basically, I have no idea if transactions are failing, because yet again, I CAN'T LOG IN... I can, however, see a huge list of double transactions in my SLEX and OnRez accounts, where buyers have attempted a purchase twice due to non-delivery of goods.
So when I CAN get in, IF I can get in, my evening will once again be spent writing notecards and sorting out customer issues. Instead of, you know, creating more content to sell...to make a little money so I can pay for my rent...which goes into the SL economy, keeping it...oh y'know...healthy..
*sigh*
My house IS spotless though.. and all the ironing is done.

I don't even have to be in world to see the issue going on and get tired of it. What sucks is that I have to tell the customer to wait until the transaction system is no longer so borked, because it never fails that when it's borked, so to is the sending on of packages.
Oh, annoying doesn't begin to cover this. If they'd just go ahead and say, "Look we can't work on this while you are all on, so everyone outta the pool so we can fix it this time," I'd be a lot happier.

I kinda wish LL participated in these forums more. Do they know that things are going south again?
Bad news always seems to hit these forums faster than LL updates the blog. I always wonder if it's because they're trying to confirm or quick-fix the issue before blogging or if it's because we just know about this stuff first.

Whenever I've got in touch to tell them that something gridwide is borked, they already know, even though it only just started. I imagine that they first want to see if they can fix it quick and avoid an announcement.

ok this is just getting stupid, not only transactions failing because of timing out but especially the ones where it gives an error but the money is deducted anyway and scripts don't recognize it.

I think it's because we're quicker to report things to the forums than we are to Linden Labs. To report it to Linden Labs means opening a browser, logging into the support portal, submitting a ticket which probably won't be responded to for a while or going to live chat and praying there's a Linden available. Or even worse, going to that foreign gibberish place called Jira, which isn't the best place for this kind of bug report! Yeah, the forums rock for information gathering!

I imagine that they first want to see if they can fix it quick and avoid an announcement. That's sorta what I assumed but sometimes I still wonder. :\ Maybe some bored & clever coder out there would like to do a resident grid monitor? Maybe something like a couple scripted objects with one paying the other (owned by the same person) L$1 once a minute and the other object updating a web page to say how often the transactions are working.. From: Raudf Fox I think it's because we're quicker to report things to the forums than we are to Linden Labs. To be fair to LL, the live chat stuff is a __lot__ easier to get to now. It's only a few clicks away..

Thats because it has people who care about SL.. the residents and not Lindens who blow ya off and say clear cashe and did you try a different region lol and gotta agree with ya on jari.. complete joke major bugs get closed and left.. lots over a year old so its a waiste of time to even bother
