The link took me nowhere. What does that mean?

Well, we're going through a rolling restart and some of which apparently has the HET stuff added. WOOT!

I thought we've had the het grid for a while now...I think it's just because there's new server code deployed as well, so it shows the difference between a restarted sim and a non-restarted sim.

Eh, I barely keep up with the blog, but I think you're right. It's just that this rolling restart is kind of giving it the test as well as making it apparent.

Now, if we could just stay connected to the sim during a rolling restart.. that would be a miracle

Even staying in the same sim? THAT would be fun-restart limbo...
Het grid just means the viewer can be of different versions I think. If you go to the Beta Grid, you can see the same message pop up if you go to one of the non-Havok4 places (They also have "Havok1" plastered all over the scenery)

Huh, I didn't know that.. but then, I tend to limit my activities to one sim in beta and usually then, I'm checking a texture for 'fit'. I'll be sure to go kick a ball around and see what happens when I go back on there next.

I think HET also means that one viewer should be able to access sim that run server versions too and those different versions of server can run together without crashing the whole kaboodle.

At least we know the version message works
