Where would be the appropriate place within the forums here to announce a new "Group"? I didnt see any listed that discusses Groups per say??

You could have mentioned the name of the group in this post. Example: "I’ve stated a Group for such and such and its name is blah blah. Where would be the appropriate place within the forums to announce it?"  |

if it's a retail group, i'd say shopping.
probably safe in classifieds, and resident websites too.

You might want to announce it at the SLUniverse forums at sluniverse.com .
Add an announcement in your forum signatures.
