New Release Client Jaggie Problem

I have been having memory error problems with the regular view so I have been using the release candidate viewer. Today I had to upload the latest update to the release candidate. It seems to work fine but objects and avatars are very jaggy. All the graphic settings are the same as they were before. I tried adjusting things but couldn't get rid of them. Is anyone else experiencing this with the new update?

I'm not using the RC, so I can't answer your question, but I can tell you that Nicholaz patched the memory leaks in 1.19.1.4. If you want to try that, the info is here:

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

There is an anti-aliasing setting in the SL viewer now. You open Edit>preferences>Graphics Tab>;(check custom box)>click hardware options then set anti-aliasing to your desired level.

Thanks for the info on the patch. I will try that.

I tried the anti-aliasing option. 2x didn't seem to help. Any higher and it crashes the program. :(

Make sure "Avatar imposters" is unchecked in your graphics preferences.

There is nothing in the advanced hardware setting that specificlaly says, "anti-aliasing." It offers "anisotropic filtering" and "enable open GL vertex buffer objects."

Which one of those is it? And turn it up?

Yes, there is an anti-aliasing option on the latest RC viewer - I checked it for myself - It is labelled 'Anti-aliasing' and it has 5 settings.

Yep, it is just in the 1.20 series of viewers. :)

Tried all levels of the anti-aliasing option and none seemed to make a difference, so I don't think that is the problem. I didn't have this problem with the Release Candidate before the update and I don't have this problem with the main viewer. I am stumped. I was so spoiled by the great graphics I had before. Maybe I should just try redownloading the Release Candidate again and see if there is any difference.

Well that explains it. I don't have the release candidate.

Mine was working well until the last update. Now I crash often and the graphics freeze every minute or so. I recommend not getting it CoCo. It would probably drive you to an early grave. :)
