I purchased a Merc Stealth keyboard last week for use in SL. The reason I bought it was that I really wanted to have my navigation keys on the left side (beats using WASD and typing when I mean to move) so I can keep my right hand on the mouse. The keyboard lets you program all the keys and remap them. This is waaaay more awesome than I had originally imagined! Now my arrow keys, the ctrl and alt keys, and esc key are all at one place where I don't have to move my hand to use them. This makes navigating and camera'ing around sooooo much easier!!
The keyboard was designed for gamers. You can actually set the keyboard to be mapped appropriately for most games. You just select, for example, WoW, and all the keys get instantly mapped to that game. Unfortunately, they don't have a map for SL. But I've spent the last week creating one for SL. It works very well.
If anyone is interested in this, just let me know. I'll be happy to help.
Cheers! Slim

I have a Saitek keyboard I bought for similar reasons. It sucks.
Wish I'd tried the one you got.
A person might also try getting a "compact" keyboard with no keypad and a keypad, or a plain lefthand keyboard.
Glad you like your Stealth.

I thought that looked like a good idea until I noticed it has non-standard arrow key placement on the other side of the keyboard. So I went looking for just the left-side keypad and found this... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823161023...which I might actually try.
