Deleted Friend, Added back, now lose

Deleted a friend from my friends list - trying to solve a problem with not seeing him online when he was - and when I added him back and he logs off I lose him. I have to offer friendship every time I log in. What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it?

Maybe he's too nice to tell you that he's deleting YOU as a friend when you log off.

Maybe the 'problem' you started with was because he didn't want you to know when he was online. So now, he wants you off his back...

You’re offering HIM friendship, that’s what you’re doing wrong. Let him offer YOU friendship. See if that solves the problem.

No, because we are usually talking on the phone or in LiveChat at the time. This is not him, it is something either we or I am doing that is causing SL confunion.

Ok ok ok…sorry, sorry. Didn’t mean to imply…well I think we were…but still.
I’ve not ran into this or heard of it happening to anyone else. And back to my original suggestion. If he offers you friendship the same thing happens? And does he also lose you from his list?

I too am having that problem....accidently removed my partner and have to offer friendship evertime we log on. I remain on his friend list - i know because we have access to each others avatars.

Friend list is having issues. It takes a while for it to load for me.
All I see in my friend list is Hippos and waiting.... often I have to look in calling card area to see who is online.
Hippos and waiting never write me. I really wish I could remove them from my friend list but they keep showing up.
I even saw my alt log in recently wrote him asked him why he was online got message saying he was offline.
Same thing with one of my first friends who helped me out a whole including sent me older verision oF Adobe when she upgraded.
She appears to be online but isn't, or maybe she just doesn't want to talk to me.

I doubt that she just doesnt want to talk to you - hahaha - she was nice enought to give you Adobe....just have problems with list.....I recently logged on as my partner again and he lost his friend list also.....only 2 "waiting"...can double click and see who they are-one was me but he still doesnt stay on my list.....frustrating !!!!

Hmmmmm - friends can be fickle, I fear - especially so it seems when they are in a list.

Kittydog, did you read the Terms of Service and Community Standards?

You do *know* sharing of passwords is in flagrant contradiction of them?

Have you not read of threads where things 'happen' to peoples avatars, nasty IMs etc when friends fall out?

My fiancee and I don't access each others avatars. There's simply no reason to and it *is* against the rules!

Sorry I can offer no advice on the OP question but TOS/CS is being contravened.

ok, ok....so we dont share passwords.....just wanted these people to know we trust each other and it is NOT that he removes me from his friend list.....don't get so touchy....!! Since last post, he told me he also lost all but two "waiting" friends on his list.....so it is not just me.....any OTHER ideas? Guess we will just give up the friend list and go about it the harder way - calling cards, profiles, search, etc.

Well we have only talked maybe small handful of times since last Christmas when she mailed me Adobe. I think she just not feeling well.
It is embarrassing cause their was a couple times I saw her online and just wanted to say hello and tell her about my progress with the program briefly but she really wasn't online though SL showed her online.
So I sort of having the oppisite problem

My friend and I have been working on different solutions all week and nothing seems to work. Last night he crashed and I crashed and we never seemed to be able to be inworld at the same time. If it wasn't for an alternate form of communication I would be an angry avatar at him for not showing up on time. LOL
Is it my imagination or is Sl getting worse daily? I never used to crash or have problems tping all over......So I believe this Friends List is not something I am doing wrong, just another part of bugs in the system.
But I can't seem to stay away........

I have a couple of friends that show off and on on my list, period. Doesnt matter if its an online status or offline. I went to peek if one was online and they werent on my list at all...a minute later she sends me an IM all testy I didnt IM her (picking on me of course lol). When I logged in later that night she was on my list again. I've given up trying to 'fix' this issue and am just waiting for LL to fix friend lists. Until then, I never know when anyone is on =/
