Quite desperate

Entering the 4th day without being able to log in. Anyone knows how much it takes for a ticket to get considered? ;__;

For me it's always been within hours. I think the longest I've ever waited was about 12 hours.

Makes sense to open another one?

Actually it depends on what your issue is. If it's something that is a hardware problem (like graphics card) then you probably are going to wait a long time..........and it's more likely something you need to tend to on your end in the first place.

Billing issues you can call them. If you are premium you can use Live Chat to get some help. What was your ticket concerning?

Nothing can be done I'm afraid. Many residents already tried to help. My avatar is ghosted in a land called Yadni Junkyard in the region of Leda. The owner has not logged on since August 2009 and the avatar can't be pushed, ejected, kicked orbited, nothing. System is not logging me out in any way and Linden are not answering my ticket in 4 days. I'll sit and wait, but this is getting really frustrating

I know she is I read all the solutions, but none can apply. I'm not really knowledgeable of the SL terms, but I think that region is mainland and someone wrote in a previous post that mainland regions can be restarted only if the land owner asks LL to do that. Like I said there's no way I can contact land owner or LL. So I'm just stuck. Sorry if it sounds like a vent, it actually is ;_;

Isn't Yandi's on mainland? Maybe just get LL to reboot the sim. Either way, they'll reboot any sim if needed.

Sabry, give it 10 or 15 mins then try logging in. I got LL to restart the sim. I waited for the notice to clear the area before I left so it's being restarted as we speak. You should be good to go in a few minutes.

Sabry, if u r still ghosted - (is it safe assumption then tht u cannot go Live Chat?) If no one has yet I wd be happy to Live Chat them for you- can some one post her region and coordinates? They generally do it within minutes -

Yep, that's the way to handle it if it's mainland. I usually get IM'd because an avatar is ghosted, but.. it's mainland. Just ask LL to restart and why. Boom, they restart it.

Is it just me or has the number of ghostings actually increased?

Appears to be something different today. I crashed out at Pooley. Logged back in to OIP and got something along the lines of: "Your avatar appears to be logged in to a different region. Please try logging again in a few minutes" I did that and got back in again to OIP without any trouble. I've not seen this message ever before. Maybe new, maybe not. Don't know. If it is new then can only be a good thing.

Welcome to the ticket lottery. I usually have to do something extra to get a ticket considered when it languishes: contact live help, submit another ticket, and such.

See if you can get inworld with an alt on the same computer. If the original you is there then the region needs a restart.

Try if the locked out account can get online from another computer. If so, your computer was locked out for some reason and the gteam has to fix it (most likely you were caught up in them wildcard banning a griefer on your subnet). Unfortunately there is no official way of contacting the gteam outside of the ticket process.

I don't think it's anything new and I believe it has not necessarily increased in frequency. I usually log on using my alt account and my normal habit is to check the forums after logging off for the evening (or durring the day even). I see my alt as logged in on the dashboard (or whatever it's called on the main Community page). She will still show as logged on for a couple of minutes (up to about 10 minutes). Sometimes if I try to log back on immediately I get the "wait 5 mins" message.......I'm ghosted. I usually wait at least half that time and try again and get in on the second attempt. That's quite a normal thing for me..........and has been this way for a long time. I don't see that as a problem myself. But I guess if you are doing something that requires your being on (such as DJing or entertaining in some way) it could be an issue.

If you crash, all bets are off about how long you'll remain ghosted. Most of the time it's just a couple to a few minutes but, as most know, it could be quite a bit longer..........up to whenever a sim is restarted.
