Yes. You hate JIRA. I know you do. Really, I do. It's a pain for the non-techie people. It's not exactly easy to read, it's a pain to search, there's lots of geekspeak and technobabble that doesn't make much sense. Yuck. Please vote for this bug though. More votes means, believe it or not, more Linden Lovin' and more chance of it being fixed. And you don't like this bug. You may not know it but you really don't. From: SVC-4196 sim stalls when people who are a bit prim and/or script heavy TP in (or log in or fly in, etc)
Any time somebody even a little heavy with scripts and or prim attachments enter a region, the region seems to stall. No physics updates, no script time, chat gets misordered or just plain lost, all sorts of bad. ... How to vote, in 5 easy steps that will take less than a minute of your time: - Go here: http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-4196- Look over on the left side for where it says "If you were logged in.." and click that - Log in using your SL name and password - this is a secondlife.com thing and is as safe as logging into these forums - Once you log in, that text on the left will now say "Vote for it" - Click where it says "Vote for it" TY!! edit: updated to point to SVC-4916 instead, which seems quite similar and already has a lot more votes.

I am going to try to monitor this one and bump it back to the first page if it slips off, maybe for the whole weekend.
The lag in SL has gotten back to the horror of my early days here -- walking thru floors or the ground, walking/flying forever into never-never land and then rubberbanding back, and this one of just plain locking for a few seconds/minutes. It is absolutely horrid anymore. There really had been a lot of major improvement in overall performance in SL in the 2 1/2 years I have been here, but I swear we are now right back there, with the only difference being that the grid is not going down all the time. But if you cannot move or do much when inworld, is it really that much better than the grid not being up?

Yes, Winter was good enough to mark it as a duplicate, even though the one she marked it as a duplicate of seems to be less severe, by a factor of 5 or 10x, and SVC-4616 was already imported. And Andrew even voted for SVC-4616 tonight... /me updates the OP to point to the other bug. Just try again with the updated instructions.

it's nothing personal, really.
There's just no point in having a dozen different jira issues all relating to the same thing, each getting 50 votes, when they could pool together and get 600 votes.
Yeah, the wording is less severe on some.. I suggest you go in and edit the ones that are less severe. one of the two I linked is marked as a showstopper.
