LL banned my Bot, but not it's account?

Hello all, and sorry to bother you with a thread about a bot, but I have an alt I created way back when that I now use as a information/chat bot on my sim. Unfortunately, I can't seem to log her on via Avapet 2.5 anymore. I keep getting the message...

Error logging in (ban): Second Life cannot be accessed from this computer.

Now, she was just in world via this program yesterday and the day before, and the account itself is fine as I logged in with it today to make sure she wasn't AR'd into oblivion. So I guess my question is, does anyone have any idea why my Avapet programmed was or would be banned?

Some clients send an empty mac address when logging in, I think this either depends on the version of libsl/libomv (because it was considered unsafe or unreliable to try to pull the correct hardware info or something) or I dunno it might actually depend on the ability to pull the correct info. So from time to time a Linden would use the hardware ban on the empty hardware id, and it results in those clients not being able to log in, until another Linden is convinced to unban empty hardware id

Ahhhh. Ok. That makes sense, and thank you for the clear and speedy response. As I haven't had much luck trying to get anything done via support ticket, I believe I may just start looking around for another program. Or get off my ass and try to learn how to write my own.

Same thing for me as well .My alt can log in normally but not with av pet.

what is av pet?

It's a third party, very lightweight client that one can use to log in a second life account. Unfortunately, the account cannot be controlled via the client itself, but can be controlled by way of chat commands from a Master account/avatar specified at the time of login. Also, the client can connect to Pandorabots.com, meaning when someone speaks to the bot via in world chat or IM, the bot can respond. I had mine sitting in a tree, ready to answer what I felt would be the most frequently asked questions posed to it, as well as respond to a few of the more....unique.....things people were liable to say/ask.
