What is the best way to go about this?
I know there are two basic options for doing this:
Creating a group and deeding the prims for sale with the items inside them to the group and having both people in the group with the correct role options set.
Or you can buy a vendor script, keep the prims in the individuals name and use a profit sharign script to share the money.
IF you trust the person 100% what is the best way to go about this?
What are the risks involved in each option?
As a consumer would you prefer to buy from a group owned opject with the buy option or from a vendor script with the pay button?
Am I missing anything here?

Regardless of trust I use Vendors to split profits. Nice and easy.
As a consumer I wouldn't care what you used. As long as the process was simple and straight forward.

I am just trying to work out if the vendor or the group idea ha any issues or benefits that I just dont realise now.

The group thing can only split the sale evenly between all parties. The script allows you to change the split percentage if you ever needed to do that.
The scripted vendor gives you a lot more flexibility.

Dang I would love to know how to do this as well, but the even sharing wouldn't work. I do want to pay my partner a percentage of all sales because he does take care of a lot of little things for me, but 50% is too much. I try to pay him a salary and he won't accept it...
E if you figure out how to do this, let me know lol

there are vendors that allow split (as mentioned via %) or just a script that splits the sales (look in the scripting forums library, I am sure I saw one there somewhere)

Group payouts only happen weekly. Given that one of the groups I am co-owner of has not even managed to properly take the Search fee from us and therefore we have a large negative balance, I am not sure I would want to rely on that feature to pay me on a regular basis.
