What is the character limit for notecards ?

Is there a character limit for pasting to notecards in world ? I am trying to paste and then save a notecard and I keep getting an error message. The notecard does have a lot of characters in it. TIA.
on edit: The error message reads as follows:
"Unable to upload (long string of letters and numbers with dashes) due to the following reason: Error in Upload Request. Please visit (the support portal) for help fixing this problem. Please try again later"
The Knowledge Base has nothing on the storage limit, in characters, of notecards. I'm *assuming* at this point that it's a network problem of some kind.

errr have you tried pasting in less characters, just start with a section and then add and see if you come to a limit that way?

It might just be a temporary 'feature', unless you're trying to save something huge. I've saved very long scripts to notecards no problem.

That's very odd. I have all-text notecards that are 14-15 pages long. I'm not in world now, but I'll try it later.
Meanwhile, have you tried logging out?

Meanwhile, have you tried logging out? Yes, I've cleared cache and logged out. I'm high in the air on a sim that is pretty empty too.

Hi, I've just thrown a 35-page, 5000 word document into a notecard and saved no problem. So I really don't know what's wrong. Sorry.

I'm working with the Nicholaz Bleeding Edge n viewer.. Not the latest, but it works fine.

I have whole chapters of books in my inventory on single notecards.. 20-30 pages and more sometimes... should be possible =/
I'm using the default viewer, and haven't updated the last time yet.. just too lazy

you can't copy landmark links from one notecard to another, I reported it as a bug about 2 month back....
you can drag those landmark links to your inventory then drag them back to a new notecard though.... IIRC you can do it with pictures though... annoying bug when trying to nest notecards for FAQs and Guides

I continue to get the same error. I know this notecard has thousands of words in it, but it is 100% text with no photos or landmarks.
Anyone else getting this error ? I have reinstalled my client and I am on a lag free sim.

I spoke to Kyle Linden. After the rolling restart, either 1) the problem will go away or 2) we have to troubleshoot this.
