Hey, all!
Finally back to life, and soon SL (Have to get _Home_ for that, really...), and am wondering what's happened with stuff?
It seems the Blender scripts (Domino's) have been updated, or changed, I can't check that out till I get home. Anyone able to tell me if it's a 'huge' change, or am I still going to be fine in the flow of things?
I don't see anything much about the Adult Content stuff at first glance, that was big when I left, any big fallout or anything from that? I read some of the wiki info, and it looks rather well organized, at least, but curious as to how that played out.
Really that's all I can think of, specifically, but if anything else has happened, I'd love to know about it. I've been away three months, and feel like it's been forever! Any information, links to threads, etc, would be greatly appreciated.

Well, you can visit Zindra and see, but tickets have been filled and many more are still in line. Mainland residents who don't read the forums or blogs just now seem to be figuring it out. They seem to be trying to address it by putting up their own adult-verify ban lines on mainland property. But they will have to move to Zindra on their own dime come September, according to one person's report.
As usual the forum bubbles along with the hot topic of the day. Right now it's whether or not a roleplay sim has a right to ask people to change clothes just to visit; whether or not the whole of SL has access to private property or ban lines/orbs are okay; and of course the usual Bloodlines/he broke my heart threads.
That is pretty much it, that I recall. Not a whole lot's changed in the past few months overall.

Other than the adult content/adult continent thing, not much new on the grid, I don't think. Commercial adult content has been moved to Zindra continent (as well as some businesses which may have been less adult and more real estate in nature, minus some apparently adult businesses that LL in their infinite wisdom decided didn't look adult enough to them... so, SOP).
Oh, and the use of bots/camping to artificially inflate traffic has been officially forbidden by LL - though enforcement is spotty at best.
I've no idea about Blender... best I've managed so far in terms of building is to mush prims together. Sorry.
Not much help, probably, but I did want to say hi and welcome you back.

I'm not sure if this happened since you were away but....
On the latest 1.23 update it is possible to show real shadows by fiddling with the debug settings. The shadows look really good but they slow the frame rate right down so really they are just a sneaking taster of the SL future for now. It seems that if your computer can do the full WindLight effects, it will probably do shadows too.
