If I click on an XStreetSL link, I can't get back to the page I was viewing before. The back button simply refreshes the XStreet page. Why? I'm using Firefox.

Sometimes a web page is just a framework that automatically loads its content from elsewhere... When that happens again, try hitting back TWICE really fast

because when you load xstreet, now it autoloads your cookie information and transmits it to a page at secondlife.com, that page then forwards you back to Xstreet with an answer as to whether or not you're logged in. And who knows how many pages you got bounced around through during that process.
I don't know any more specifics than that, but if you watch your first load of Xstreet you'll see "Open ID transaction in progress" or somethign like that.. and that's what's going on.
If you want to "back up through" that, most browsers seem to have a history accessable via the back button. on firefox on a windows xp machine, simply right click the back button, and you'll get a list of recent pages. Simply choose the page you want to go back to.
Of course, if you're using firefox, you could try opening xstreet in a separate tab. That's usually a "mousewheelclick" on a link.

You can also try the down-facing arrow next to your back button. That will also contain a list of recent websites visited in that browser tab. Just click the one you were on before the Xstreet one.
