Object Placement then banned issue

A classic "my friend is having problems" issue, except in this case it truly is a friend!

So the issue is my friend placed an object on a sim after the owners gave her permission to build there. About a week later she and one of the owners got into an argument and they banned her. The object in question was about 10,000L so as you can imagine she wants it back.

She has tried asking the people, but they are ignoring her, what is the best possible route for her to get her object back?

Thank you,
Charlie

hmmm when there are superduper sales on at places and you cant get in because the sim is full...ive sidled right up to the verrrrrry edge, zoooomed in...and bought stuff :) Not sure if youre banned from a region wether that would still work though. I did tp into a yard sale where for some bizarre reason id been banned (never found out why tsk) and was shoved to the edge of the sim...i was curious to see if i could buy anything even from there...that worked too (yahboosucks to whoever owned that yard sale lol)

Soooo maybe your friend can get right up to the edge of the land...and twizzzle her arm in and pluck her object up?

Are there any sims bordering it?

Surely she can cam to the object and take it? Does being banned from a sim prevent you from taking your own objects or something?

What Faithless said. After going into the advanced menu and checking Disable Camera Constraints, I have been able to cam into a neighboring sim even and purchase stuff, so the friend should be able to just cam in and take it.

If you grant modify permission to someone can they return your objects?

No, but smaller linksets won't be part of your "interest list" from a distance away so you won't be able to see those.

If the entire sim isn't access restricted just create an alt, give it mod rights and tp it over and "take" your items (or the alt can return them to you as well with mod rights but that's less reliable) and then drop them back on yourself later.

(Edited to add cautionary note: if the items were created by you or next owner permissions are more restrictive than the permissions you'd have you don't want your alt to take them. Just wait it out for those items, sooner or later the sim owner will have to return everything)

Yup, that works. Did it recently to help a neighbor get a Linden plant that was 10m below ground and wouldn't move no matter what I tried, so I just returned it.

Yesh, but return isn't exactly reliable so I wouldn't use it to recover a L$10k item (or anything else for that matter).

If you grant modify permission to someone can they set it for sale to themselves and buy it?

"Someone" being one's alt.

If the object is transferable, send an alt in after granting them permission to touch your stuff, and the alt can just 'take' it, then give it to you.

Thanks for the suggestions..

Unfortunately the sim is bordered with 3 others that are owned by the same people, not sure if they banned her from all of them or not.

I have however suggested the creating an ALT and giving permissions, hopefully that will work for her.
