Using.... BellSouth DSL internet in the south east USA???
I ask because I'm heading down to FL in the next 3 weeks and will be at my sisters' while I house hunt.....she has DSL and I'm trying to determine if I'm going to be able to get in -world easily or not.......if not.....I'm probably going to sell off a bunch of stuff....my land.....and just start over when I'm resettled and can get cable high speed again.

Even if somebody answers yes, their performance won't be a gauge of what yours might be. With DSL, speed can vary greatly, depending in largest part on how far away you're physically located from the nearest hub. Someone a block away could be getting incredible speeds, while somebody 10 miles down the road could be going at a snail's pace.
Generally speaking, most DSL connections are suitable for SL, if not ideal.

They also offer 4 different speeds so that is something you need to know too.
I get the Fastest 6.0 Mb speed and sl is great, however even at 1.5 it was just fine.
I found a lot more change happened when I upgraded my video card than anything else.

Ah ha... so I just need to find out how far my sister is from the local HUB. hehehe can you tell this is stessing me out? lol I really don't want to have to give up my land and stuff but I'm very concerned about being able to get in wold and do what I need to do. My time will be limited as it is, with the move and so on......so if I have to fight just to rez stuff or move around....it isn't gonna be worth it.  |

Ooo good luck with the move Milla! I'll hold off adding anymore skyboxes until you are settled.  I use to live in Clearwater, Florida and had DSL. I didn't play SL at the time,however it was just as good and fast as any cable connection
