Is there an ultimate SL anti griefing device that can be purchased at any cost that can be used in non script/rez areas? If so where can I get it. I'v spent so much on shields and always someone can get the better of me.

Id say "sit on an object"..its the end all against push scripts..but if you have no pla ce to sit and cant rezz your own box..well........

You might be hanging out in the wrong places. I rarely get griefed at all, so I don't see the need for shields and the like myself.

People seem to really like the Mystitool and I think it has a few settings that could help. I don't think there's an "Ultimate Griefing Tool", though. As tools get better, griefers find ways to thwart them.

My MystiTool seems to work everywhere I've tried to use it. Perhaps it is just that I've been in a lot of build-enabled areas and not noticed.

And the new free MystiTool is free (o L$) rather than the dollarbie it used to be.

The best anti griefer tool is freeze, torture and eject but that only works on your own land. If you are experiencing grifing elsewhere I suggest you just leave.

Yeah, there's no big "Anti Griefing Device" per se. If you hang out around infohubs or somewhere that gets griefed a lot (unlink most folks, who pick a few "safe" Sims and leave only to shop), sit when you can, don't let the griefin bug you too much, it's gonna happen.

Combating griefers is like a list/collection of techniques, not just one...no one tool can block all griefer techniques at the same time. PWNing griefers is like a "virtual martial art" lol. Like Trout said, maybe in the future the tools will be better. I know once Havok 4 is across more of the Grid, at least droppin' self-replicating objects won't be the big threat it was, as far as "self-defense" though... find the next NCI class of Dealing With Griefers (the actual class name), and click the "Notify" button. They'll break it down for ya.

as far as protection go, the offense always have a leg up on the defense, that's the way things work here.

Exepted that nobody can do anything to you if you're sitting on a box in a safe land.

Yeah, thank heavens Havoc 4 gets rid of a bunch of hideous crap--exploits, really--that became "weapons" with the side-effect of actually costing the victim real L$s to replace all the no-mod attachments they break. (Of course the lame weapons scripters wouldn't know that, since they're still wearing n00b hair and their only non-griefing attachments are from BIAB freebie resellers.)

I really think battling griefers is counterproductive. AR them so LL can keep the grid Mario-free, but otherwise ignore them for the tedious thumb-suckers they are.

I have suddenly become invisable to myself although others can still see me, and had to restart to put it right, I was advised this was the action of a greifer, is this true, if so what a strange way to go on???

there are two types of griefers you have the ones that just get here that don't understand what sl is about..they come in and see all this free stuff and free weapons and thing it is more like a playstation where you can go around actually using all this stuff everywhere..
9 times out of 10 these are good people they just needed a good talking to about what sl is really about and how it is closer to a real life way of life than say duke nukem or Quake way of life..alot feel bad or say they just didn't know and are sorry..

then you have the other kind that know what they are doing..
well we don't need much explination as to why they are doing it ..they are doing it to do it and to be the bad we have to deal with..
it won't do much good trying to get shields or things like that against them..it's thier sl and they are on top of thier game..plus most travel in gangs anyways.
JuST AR them..they are used to it lol
they'll just jump on another alt they have and wait out thier ban because they can do that here..For free even hehe..

The best offense is a good defense ..sit at all times if you don't like the ride..
me i have myself setup that i get hit it counters and atleast they are going for a ride too..
seriously the best protection is...............well there is no best protection lol
