Hi guys,
I'm not really active in SL much anymore due to other things I have going on. I don't want to close my account or anything like that, but I am paying $5/month for land I never use, so I'd like to sell it.
It's on mainland, waterfront and has some protected area around it.
I'd like to either find an agent to sell it for me, or get some advice on how much it's worth.
Anyone who can help out?
Thanks

its called advertising .. like what you just did.
the adds section for real estate is further down the forum listings. Also the xstreet real estate section was nice , but since the swap i havent looked at it once. I hate the new xstreet.

Why don't you have a quick look at what else is for sale of the same quality, then decide on a m2 price? Then just set it for sale? It's probably no more time consuming than searching for an agent, who will do what, exactly?

thanks for the replies so far.

That's just it.. I don't really know how to compare quality, would I just be looking at other properties the same size and also waterfront? Or are there other factors? That's why I'm asking for advice.
Thanks

one factor is do you want to be rid of it or do you want to make some $L?

Maybe ensure that you are comparing land with the same rating, ie, pg vs mature.
You do know that you can check "show land for sale" in your big map, and it will all shine up yellow? Thats the simplest way to see what the neighbours are trying to sell for.

both? Are you suggesting that I rent the land? Or do you mean if I'm desperate to sell then I post a lower price than everyone else?

Right: the lower the price, the faster the parcel will sell, all else being equal.
But really, it's not going to make a huge amount of difference. It sounds like about 1024 of very good Mainland. Assuming it's not something really extraordinary it might fetch (very wild guess) about US$40, maybe.
If one happened to have a good, long-term neighbor who'd enjoy the land, one might be tempted to just make a gift of it.

If it isn't sold yet, send me a landmark and I will take a look at it. I'll either make you an offer, or give an opinion on what price to set, as you prefer.
