SL Messenger?

While my internet was knocked for my landline, I'm on wireless atm and can't access the SL client. I was looking around for something to talk to my friends with and ran across this thing called SL Messenger. Anybody know anything about it? Is it even legal to use for this game? Because if it is legal it'd help alot when I can't log into the client and want to chat with friends. Though I don't want to get my account suspended for using something LindenLabs doesen't like. I looked through their TOS and I don't see anything that would bar someone from using a simple messenger to contact their friends. Anyone have any ideas? If none I'll submit a ticket to LL for their take on it

you are free to use whatever client you wish, it isnt a violation or whatnot. just remember that you are entering your password into a third-party program...

Well I'll be honest, I tried the program out regardless of what anyone had to say and after being online for who knows how long someone named Dave410 pm'ed me saying I was in a private area, {Sorry Dave I didn't know} Does your program do that or what? I'd like to keep my character where he was supposed to be >.> Not trottin around someplace where hes not supposed to be

metabolt has the same 'home or last location' drop down thingo as the normal client. you can also tp, look at profiles, search, touch/sit, send $L, look at land info, and send IM's and whatnot.

Ah sweet thanks man, I tried it out last night and it worked great, cept I'm kinda unsure of where my friends put me since I told it to follow someone and then they started giggling so... hopefully not into a weird spot.....

I might give metabolt a try myself. I like SLtrim, but it's a bit limited in chatting with friends only.
