I thought LL was billing Americans through a US bank now? My charge is still coming through the UK and my credit card company rejects it, causing me to have to call them every month.
I thought LL had moved billing of US residents to a US bank, so I called LL Billing just now to see if I've been overlooked in the transfer. I talked to someone with an English accent who told me that Americans were still all being billed through the UK.
Where was the source of the rumor that there had been a change in this policy?

I don't recall hearing of any change in billing. All still through the UK, as far as I know. Which is a pain for many people...

The KB is your friend . From: someone Prior to December 19, 2007, our credit processor was based internationally, which resulted in a bank fee charged by some banks commonly called a "foreign transaction fee," which happens whenever funds are being moved overseas. Since it wasn't a fee generated by Linden Lab, we couldn't control or cancel it.
Credit cards entered into our system on or after December 19, 2007 are handled by a domestic credit processor, which eliminates the fee. If you're in the United States and are being charged the foreign transaction fee with your current credit card, entering a credit card that's new to our system should result in the fee no longer being charged. Please consult your financial institution for details on your personal situation. Refers to the foreign transaction fee but "handled by a domestic credit processor" would be key. You can delete/update your payment info and hope it takes, or else start a support billing ticket asking that they change the processor for your payment info.
