Ya. Pretty "eh." Kinda nostalgic, though. Maybe it was their "history" exhibit.

Oh, an the lower right hand coerner of your piccie is Robin Sojourner's exhibit. Mine is up the road that starts in the lower right and is just a bit past where your draw distance cuts off.

Well, i went back again in full Isle of Wyrms dragon regalia (Spirit Dragon incase anyones interested) went to one of the corner sims where it was quiet and had a fly around.

I'll be going back well off the peak hours, the lag is just insane...gotta check out some of the exhibitions that ive heard about....but going there during peak US is pointless, ya cant even walk around :(

Well, so far... I've crashed four times with my graphics settings turned as far down as possible (I normallt run 'em at max on this machine with no trouble) ...Um. The exhibits look very nice, but are mostly grey and unclickable. ^^

I did get two copies of the Linden Bear, though I couldn't look around 'cause the parcel was full. Mebbe later, unless the grid asplodes. ^^;;

I tried to explore. Wow chaos.

Where on earth do you get the bear? Please - where are bears?

Got it:

SL5B Flexi (11, 255, 42)

I'm flying, so... yeah--but you can see the building with the big bear on top from there. The littler bears on the entrance are freebies. ^^

Yay!

Be sure, if/when you visit mines, to go across the road, past the NCI map display, and go into Loki's geodesic dome. It's the best thign in there.

From what I'd been reading, it seemed that SL5B was not going to be an accurate representation of the diverse cultures in Second Life.

However, I guess I was wrong on that assumption. It sounds like SL5B is turning out to be a fairly accurate representation of what goes on in Second Life after all.

The gray textures everywhere spoil the enjoyment of looking around.

Are the gray textures able to be improved by a better video card, more ram, maybe a better router, and or higher grade internet service, or are they somewhat universal?

Quad Core 4gig ram dual 8800gtx SLI video cards, Ultra High speed cable

Lots of grey, lag, stuck avatars, repeated sounds etc. intermittently no sound no video, and this is after speech so less was going on.
