I'm getting to see this more and more often. I sent a ticket the other night only to have to close it 5 minutes later when I got in ok.
Anyone else getting this?

I got this twice before managing to log in. I was scared my little relog might have kicked me into not being able to get on again.

To the OP:

I have seen this also a lot recently but it ended up being an intermittent problem with either my telecom exchange or my ISP. I complained to both and it has been right ever since.

Perhaps your cause is simillar? I would try that - perhaps that is why your support ticket was closed too?

Hope this helps :)

It seems to me this happens sometimes when your firewall doesn't recognize a new SL version.

Bilbo99, try not sending the crash report and you will notice you get right baack in... sending the crash report somehow screws it up and gives the msg your getting. Maybe it LL's way of telling us not to send crash reports.

Whilst I agree that sending crash reports prolongs the agony, and I often get too annoyed after the timing of a crash to wait, I have to say ... sheesh ... why in the name of hell would any software company NOT want crash reports? Saves having to ask users who may not be able to articulate what you need from them. I speak from my workplace's POV - which is egaming - we are desperate for feedback from players so we can address things. Yet I bet if you asked our players they would grumble as well. This is because the word "customer" comes from the ancient Penguin for "unreasonable".

Thanks Gabriele and Toy for your comments. Gabriele, I closed the ticket, sorry for not being clearer there. As soon as I got in-world I closed the ticket. Almost by return I got a confirmation email of closure .. not a confirmation of opening a ticket ;)

Curious aside though, having two PCs here when my new one had the DNS, I fired up the old one and got in-world whereas the new one was continuing with its DNS. Being the technician I am, I am making no assumptions other than the new one had bad karma.
