it's a small shop, a short distance from the hub, with surrounding trees.... has shoes, and near the entrance a lovely complete victorian bedroom set...
I swear I saved a landmark, search every idiotic term I could remember, and visited each place that even vaguely sounded familiar... no luck...
anyone know the place I'm talking about?

There's more than one sim in Caledon, right? Any idea which one?
Do you know anywhere the bedroom set is in use?
When you say "the hub" what do you mean be that? Where is "the hub"?

there's a ton of caledon sims... which is my problem... no clue which... as for hub, each caledonian sim has it's own TP hub... small landing area, usually a dias, with a few signs and sometimes an ad board or two... unfortunately the boards I recognize seem to be the same ones at every one of the default TP locations =/
I want to say the shop is about halfway to the north border... but I can't be sure... very aggravating

While waiting for responses in this forum, have you posted in the Caledon forums?
Asked in the Caledon in-world groups?

Caledon Forums: http://www.caledonforums.com/ The Caledon Forums: News from the Independent State of Caledon in SecondLife (Created for all citizens of the 3D metaverse to share in polite Victorian & Steampunk roleplay) ============================ There's also a Caledon wiki. I didn't know they had wikis in the Victorian era. I suppose it must be some sort of steam powered wiki. http://wiki.caledonforums.com/index.php/Main_Page The Caledon Wiki: Archives of the Independent State of Caledon in SecondLife =============================

Vertically Challenged is a really cool little shop. Get the freebie blue tears. Turns out being able to cry in a funny way is sometimes handy.

That happens to me every time as well. No matter what landmarks shop owners list for their shops, you port in to the hub and can't find a doggone thing.

There's currently a jira fix (SVC-1125) addressing the red beacon failure in telehubbed regions. It's making things very difficult with regard to finding shops in telehubbed areas, and that's not just Caledon, that's gridwide. (in some client versions the beacon still works, so yes, I'm aware of that) This one got Company attention alright, and has an internal development number, has been reproduced easily, &c &c. But if it isn't repaired soonish, we may be looking at an utterly telehub-less Caledon. No panic of course, but I'm watching the issue like a hawk, for the sake of a LOT of people. I'm guessing one or two reasonably soon version updates would be enough chance for the Company to address it - failing that, it's basically force majeure as far as everyone is concerned - a 'natural disaster' of sorts that would cause us to change our ways to survive. Incidentally, if you have a telehubbed region, you need to keep an eye on this too.
