I have a piece of rented land on an island - Nico
I just rented a second parcel to expand inland and improve prim allowance.
I want to join the two parcels and have permssion from landlady owner to do this.
I follwed the steps but i get an error message saying i cant do it since the two parcels are owned by separate names.. One is group owned, by my group Saltair Island group (the first one i owned) . The new one is owned by me, Imogen Saltair.
This feels like a dumb question but i just cant find a way to change the settting on the second piece to match the first. If there is a FAQ or forum post to answer me, can someone point me to it please? thank you

OK this happened to me once.
Contact your estate owner ... get them to take it back and do it again.
Sometimes weird things happen, the sim may need rebooting possibly.
OH yes and also maybe something screwed up when they were giving you permissions in the first place ...

just ticking the 'allow deed to group' box is only half the process. you have to also click the deed button afterward. The island has 'allow parcel resale' using the land search function shut off (just like Caledon). What needs to happen is that the island owner needs to be an owner or officer in your group, and deed it for you, and quit the group. Interestingly enough, for reasons not entirely clear to me, one *has* to reclaim the parcel to get it to stick, then give it right back via deed. Strange, but it won't work otherwise. The island owner (and nobody else) can sort this out for you very quickly - if there's any questions, just IM me.

on the other hand, if all youre wanting to do is increase prims you can merely 'set to group' and share the prims, even with separate owners i believe.

Nina is also correct. At the last place I had I ended up splicing bits here and there to share around the various groups concerned.
