How do you use standing animations?

I recently bought one and I am not quite familiar on how to use them. The animation keeps playing as I walk.

Thanks a lot!

Phil, you need get yourself an AO, or Animation overrider. You can get free ones all over, and if you have one, you can drop your stand, walk and sit animations into it, and it will do all the thinking for you, switching animations based on what you're doing. ZHAO usually has freebie ones floating around.

Vista has a nice ready-made AO for men for 1 Linden.

I second the endorsement for ZHAO. It's free and very versatile. You need to be just a tiny bit familiar with editing, but don't let that scare you. The instructions are very clear.

The worst part about ZHAO is you have to place it on the ground to put animations into it, and it's kind of small. I once accidentally took half my house back into inventory instead of the overrider, but you should be okay if you stay on the ground and not in a building you own. I now have all sorts of stands in mine that change at random. It's very natural looking.
