Okay, so Route 66 cuts through Bay City and Nova Albion on the way towards Ahern, and Route 50 connects Nova Albion to Shermerville. Are there any other numbered routes? Anyone have a map to all this in their glovebox?

Forgive me for not giving a damn about it, Mari. I might care if they put some roads in Satori, Nautilus, Gaeta or even Jeogeot. Or however it's spelled, can't remember, not looking it up.

Hopefully they will keep expanding their road crews, I would like to take long country drives in my sports car (except for the sometimes very violent Sim crossing errors of course)

LDPW gave route numbers to the proposed paving projects on Heterocera, shown in http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Department_of_Public_Works_Roads. They're paving Route 1 now, which seems to be an official designation, given that the Governor's land description includes it through most of the route. (Route 3, where I am, doesn't seem to be labeled, though.)

I do not have a map and didn't even realize the routes actually crossed regions. Interesting. Thanks. Need to look closer into it.

And . . . why they heck would anyone enter a thread just to say they don't give a damn about the subject?

To grouse once more not about the subject but LL's policy of enhancing the already established old mainland, instead of spreading joy to the 4 other continents that dwarf them on the map.

Well, they added 30 regions to Jeogeot (including a very cool volcano build), are working on roads in Heterocera, and did Bay City in Sansara. Of the last of those, it should be noted dat the road from Barcola into Bay City has led to a void for years. So maybe they're starting by taking care of some old projects, and working their way to more modern issues?

At any rate, All I wanted t'know were route numbers. :-)

I'm unhappy with LDPW. I would be more favorable about the roads, and I should be, but I'm not, because I see so much concentration of energy and development in this section of the grid.

My home is in Satori. I also own land in Nautilus. My first home was in Jeogeot, in December 2006. We are witnessing the biggest land crash of SL's economy, to the point where whole sims are **not being bid on**. Mainland has devalued, except for this curiosity called Bay City... a Linden-sponsored set of mainland sims that has sold for astronomical prices.

Bay City is not the enhancement of something already in existence, to add value and make it more attractive. It's not like they used reclaimed land to make protected green space. No, it's IN ADDITION to the thousands of mainland sims, creating a pocket of beauty in one small space. And it shows the paucity of value of new mainland in stark contrast. Adding insult to injury, they're going to make MORE of these things, instead of adding value to the rest of the mainland.

The roads in the already established old continents are a step forward, I'll admit it. They're oldest, they should get something first, even though there is already quite a bit of development already. I guess my disappointment is more with Bay City the concept than anything else. Sorry Mari.
