Any idea why a Pinyin editor would start appearing in Second Life? It won't go away, it's confined to the SL window. I don't see how to make it go away in the help. It's the standard Microsoft Pinyin editor. I wasn't running Novoking or Hipihi. I had just installed Blender to see what it's interface looks like. Nothing Pinyiny about Blender. Hadn't been long since I restarted the machine.

Does hitting Ctrl-Space or Shift-Space help?

I will try that. I exited SL and restarted and it started up again. I am slumped down in my chair and might be hitting the keys wonky. It got in a mode where I was seeing doublespace english letters. I don't know what other people were seeing.
Oh, also I am surrounded by sim after sim of goatse porn, thousands and thousands of up the rectum shots.
This is not being the absolute best nite of virtual worlding at the moment.

Sigh, it's said, reporting that one is surrounded by thousands of goatse porn images in SL is like reporting that grass is green or that temperature fluctuates. Not much of news report. Overshadowed by unasked for Pinyin editor. Appparently Control Space is a reliable toggle for the pinyon editor. Thanks. Now to see if I can change that to something less probable. Better yet, in Regional and Locale, you can turn it off. I don't know to use it so I can't use it at Chinese sites anyway. I guess pinyin editor is not the real name for it, just a mode it can be in.
Again thanks.

To get rid of the pinyin editor I had to remove the Chinese simplied and traditional from the Keyboard input list in Control Panel Regional and Locale. Hipihi still works. I haven't tried Novoking yet.
I wonder what the most virtual worlds running on the same computer at one time has been.
I'm sure I had some reason for installing the Chinese input method, I think I was going to try to say hello or thank you or something like that in pinyin Chinese. I don't seem to be working on that anymore so I'll just do without them.
People in the chat where I was typing appeared to be seeing upside down text or something weird like that.

Yes, I use Chinese windows (I live in Taiwan) and it can be annoying. CTRL-SPACE is all you need though, or CTRL-SHIFT (Space toggles between current choice and English.. Shift cycles through all your choices)
You'll find that it's very easy to switch it by accident while building or editing.
