Hi all - been busy elsewhere for a while and there's too many threads to trawl though so maybe this has been asked already.... maybe answered already.
Downloaded and running new Release 1.19.0 (5) I seem to have a highlighted (highlit?) focal circle in middle of screen in which Alt/mouse doesn't register for camera move. Anyone know is this standard now or can it be switched off? Finding it a pain in the butt at the moment.
Also, in passing - what's this Cartel HUD I saw referenced in one recent thread? What does it do - alerts for developing cliques, all the usual pie references, etc., or is it less controversial and standard function?

Is it the kind of highlight (yellow full circle) we see on Torley's video tuts? I think he explains how to enable (disable) this at one point. I'll try to find it if no one else knows.

if it's the little white dot that is above your head ..that is for voice..turn off voiceand it will go away..if it's not the little white dot above your avatar then i don't know hehehe

Could it be some kind of hud? I know you can't click through a hud. Try right clicking on this focal area and see if you can detach it.

Not a HUD - at least I don't think so. It's the yellow circle Isabeau mentions like a SLR camera focussing ring though on my screen it's less intensely coloured - I found Torley video that displays it when in Mouselook. In mouselook it moves with the cursor but in normal view, as I said if you try to use Alt/mouse to scroll camera position you get no response when the cursor's in the circle.
I'll keep looking through the Tutorrials but a quick fix would be appreciated.  |

Can't help you with the focal circle, but the Cartel HUD tells you who happens to be in the hangout at that moment in time. As simple as that. Cool. That would come in handy. I almost want one, except it seems little like snooping on unsuspecting people. |

Since the Hangout is a social venue, a lot of us find it nice to know when folks are there so we know there are people to visit with. _____________________

I hopped over and I got one today, after discovering that Madhu is even bluer than her image. The HUD works great. I used to right click the landmark and then hit Show on the Map to see if anyone is there. That was tedious.
