Weird

Has anyone else recently been affected by a phenomenon which replaced their skin and clothing texture with a screen shot of the last location they were in before teleporting....?

I have not, but a friend of mine has had this off and on. I believe it only happens when she runs her Mac OS, but I might be mistaken. She runs WinXP, Mac, and Linex, so I never knwo which she's on LOL.

It's an old old bug that resurfaces every now and then. Your client flubs baking your skin textures. To fix it, open the debug menu (ctrl-alt-D), then go into the client menu, to the character submenu, and select "rebake avatar textures."

Or jsut hit Ctrl+Alt+R

Rebaking needs to be doen so often these days LL made a hotkey command ROFL

That was my intention, yes, though since I do not recall seeing Sally in world, I added the "sorry" part at the end.

I did have this happen to me a long time ago. What caused it was my video drivers were out of date when they released a new viewer.

I saw that once on a person who was talking to me. I thought at the time that he had taken a screen shot of himself talking to me and then used it as his skin. I could see a dialog box on his back that had part of my chat with him. It was quite strange but I didn't say anything to him about it. That's good to know it was just a bug.

Just to clarify......... my everyday-worn very modest pigtails rarely get in the way of the ginormous sun

There was someone that mentioned moving to Texas because of their big hair. I saw "guessing I'm not seeing all of it, but that's probably because of my hair" and didn't really see "color" until I reread the post. On the other hand, I have no idea how hair color would block your view, unless it is very shiny and filled with bling, blinding your eyes as you try to move around.
