This may be a dumb question, but. Is there any way for me to transfer some L$ to my son on the teen grid?

Or failing that to use a site like SLX to send him gifts??

I just asked concierge services about that last week, and, the answer is no (regarding $L).

First one, no. Second one, don't know... I've never heard of teens being able to access SLX. If they did, they probably wouldn't complain so much about the lack of good content on their grid.

One thing you could do is use your credit card or paypal to buy L$ directly for his account through the web site. They have to have payment info on their accounts, right? If not, you could always remove the payment info after the purchase goes through, so your son wouldn't be tempted to charge more.

I'd suggest setting up a Debit Card for your son. That way you can put into that accoutn what you allow him to spend without fear of over spending.

However, LL ~should~ have a way for parents to interact with their kids. At least in the transfering of L$ and possibly IMs to assit if they run into trouble.

For those that say "Well the kid is in the same house." just remember, there are a lot of sperated parents out there with joint-custody of kids, plus there are private boarding schools to consider as well.

I'm not sure what security proceedures would need to be in place to protect the kids and ensure that the "adult" linking up is indeed their parent, but it can't be that hard. More likely just supplying the same information required at signup.

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.
