XStreet emails

Has anyone clicked the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the emails yet?

If they are going to send out these emails every time there is a holiday or special occasion, I'm gonna get real mad real quick.

I guess they didn't keep SLX's database as I CANCELED my account years ago!

I unsubscribed to every one they sent me and, as far as I know, I haven't received any more, although some were directed into my Junk folder and I don't examine all that goes in there before permanently deleting them.

It didn't take effect right away, but unsubscribing seems to have stopped the spam for me.

Cappy, they aren't spamming the slx database, they're spamming their own.

But one would think they would take into account all the people that dropped out of SLX. I mean, come on!

I unsubscribed after the last bout of spam and haven't received a single one after that.

I think I've gotten 4-5 of them total. Considering how many emails I get from some company that thinks I can read russian, the slex volume is pretty low..

A commonly accepted standard for spam is that a total of zero is pretty low. One spam message is much too high.

Let's not become complacent. If it doesn't bother you, fine, but please don't say "they're not bad because others are much worse."

I don't think I said it was ok to send unsolicited emails. All I said was that the volume was actually pretty low. Given the wide assortment of other things residents can get worked up over, I think I'll just say that I'd rather not get non-administrative messages from slex and leave it at that.

I haven't had any recently and I haven't unsubscribed. Do you only unsubscribe from Xstreet emails?

I think it's only the XStreet emails that are aimed at your SL registered email account, not your XStreet email account. I have two separate emails and everything I got was to my SL registered account..

That's actually kinda why I unsubscribed. I wouldn't have minded if they had sent it to the email listed on my XStreet account.

Edit: And yes, you still get emails for things like billing/selling/etc from LL. Just not the XStreet crud anymore.
