I have looked around everywhere I can and its just really hard to find good mens hair in sl. I am looking for long hair. Most of the hair I have seen is very ugly and just looks really bad and horrid.

Of course, it's a matter of personal taste, but I like the men's hair at Damselfly. It's very realistic, messy and flyaway. And their dark colors are nice blends so they don't look flat.

I think it depends a lot on your skin and shape. In my human form I've never found anything works for me except a simple style by Bryce. My alt looks best in a style called "Spencer" from Hair Solutions. It is so flexi it seems to be in constant motion at the slightest breeze, giving him that poetic look you would find in a cologne ad. Curse him!

Keep in mind that most of the good hair designers sell hair mod/copy. So you could actually look for *gasp* a female style... make a copy... and then modify it so it looks the way you want, by moving parts around, shortening or removing the bangs, etc.
Had to do this for my sweetie, who could not find the right style; we ended up modifying a female style from ETD and were very pleased because it looked good AND had a low ARC. ETD's main store is closed but some styles are available on the Hairspray sim. (Note, the Hairspray sim may be worth a look because soooo many major hair designers have outlet shops there.) If you don't want to do that, Calico Creations, Cake and Analog Dog have some longer styles for men. Also some medieval, elven, anime or fantasy type stores carry long hairstyles. Don't really know what kind of style you are looking for... ponytail, loose, how long, curly or straight, etc. |

I generally like Naughty Designs for men, and some of the Gurl6 styles.

Discord Designs have a couple of very nice ones, most of my time in SL I've worn long hair from Calico Creations (both of those also do great prim beards/taches) and another vote for Damselfly.
I'd also second the suggestion above about trying a girls' style and playing with it. |

Try Exile http://slurl.com/secondlife/Dahlia%20Island/160/173/22
Cheap packs of hair, you get different colours in each pack etc.. Theyre all mod so can be edited, copy so you won't lose 'em and they've got a good number of styles, from hats with hair, to dreads to short and casual. EDIT: Should have said this is made by guys for guys.. ![]() _____________________

The best long hair for men is Sky Everett's Rogue black. It's only available in black if I don't remember wrong. 490 L for a single color is a bit much, but the texture is fabulous. And you won't see so many others in it!
Sky Everett has a furniture shop with the hair section in the second floor. _____________________

Tamify does some good male hair. Also Muism and also Cake.
Personally Im wearing woman's hair from Deviant Kitty's right now. Strangely enough it actually goes with the look I was going for (glam rock). So don't count out female hair either ![]() |

Truth has some pretty decent short men's hair (and currently a sale ongoing). As well as the other suggestions already given, try Armidi and Naughty Designs. For longer or more androgynous looks, try eXceSs.
