Please explain Ruth dont want to be her

I am now on Sl but.... I am Ruth cant change cant do apperance edit or what ever. Heck cant even TP to some place to shop.

Have uninstalled completely scrubbed the computer and reinstalled and here I am still Ruth no landmarks no nothing. Now mind you Ruth isnt a bad person but I like me.


This was not the case till today so no matter on what I have on my computer.

But does anyone have any ideas? at all? On how to fix it?

all a ruth is is when your shape doesn't load and you end up looking like your head is about to explode..your body goes back to a kind of newbish shape from another planet..like teleport gone bad and mushed you into a circus freak kinds of thang ish

but how do I fix it?

if you don't have apearnce then you are still loading..i would say just wait it out or keep trying to relog..it's gonna be hard to say when things will finish loading on our stuff today ..

i just know i hate when i can't get out of ruth and can't port..it's like living in shear terror and you want to wake up from the nightmare hehehe

you could try logging into another sim also..that may help ..one you know runs pretty well in sl..that helps with loading..it could be the sim you are logging to.

yup....'Ruth' is just a loading issue and probably today folks are gonna see all kinds of ruths walking around. lol Give it time.... it's not a permanant thing...it's annoying....but it will correct itself.

Right now the asset servers are still backed up, some regions are worse than others. Sometimes just flying around to neighboring sims will unstick you.

If the assets did download ("appearance" is enabled in the Edit menu is one way to check) and you have flight assist, try going up about 800 meters from where you are then back down. There are fancy little scripts that will do this for you too, and the trick works about half the time to lose the Ruthing.

the kind of ruthing i hate is when i see that i look ok but everyone else see's me as ruth..god don't you hate when they wait 4 hours to tell you?? meanwhile they have taken 40 pictures of ceka the beast lol

ok went above the 800 meters lol. still nothing anyone have a tp I can tp to? But I found my bed that was hanging out there so that is a plus

i am in now but my sim is down lol they sent me to my old club which was kind of uncompfy since the place turns my stomach now..

i'm about to just go to redlight center for the night ..at this point it has about the same features as sl does today with everything not working lol
