Go to Rocket City Furmeet's vendor area. There is a small feral fox avatar for sale there.

Hmmmm I've seen some realistic bird avatars in Grendel's Children. Not sure if they have an eagle one there but good place to check at least.

Also I can never find Grendel's in the search so i just look for Avaria on the map and then teleport in.

Crazod, that was my first thought as well! I have a sweet little magpie av from Grendal's Childen made by Psyra Extraodinaire (hope I spelled that right) and it's incredible! Very realistic! I think they DO have eagles, but if not, Sweecahcahche, your friend may be interested in some of the other possibilities. My partner ended up with a firebird, the show-off!

No idea on the fox, though. Sorry.

The Werehouse do some great quadrupeds - I have been happily running around in their lovely white tiger for a few days now - the animations are darling.

Last time I was at Grendel's, they had a Bald Eagle av; but the golden eagle was "coming soon". There's another eagle there too, I forget if it's arrived or coming soon.

I'm very happy with my Werehouse Critters avatar--it has all those nice "doggy" anims like scratching and snuffling the ground. Bought it for a fox-friendly foxhunt (just playing tag with the fox, fun for everyone) and it performed very well in laggy conditions.

Edit: oh, you were looking for a cheaper version, never mind! I've had my "Chai Tea Latte price" fun out of mine, though.

Small, cute, and cheap, and available at Rocket City Furmeet = Dragon Keep TinyQuad Fox :D

Blowing my own horn, yes, but I assume this is what the OP was talking about.

I agree with Virrginia, the Werehouse fox is adorable. I have the black one with white-tipped tail, and have more fun and laughs sniffing people's shoes and commenting... I turn out to have rather a sharp foxy temper :)

I did a thorough search at Grendel's Children, twice, and if they have any quad foxes, I missed them. Did find a fantastic dire wolf, however... And they have great birds.

Yes, the Dragon Keep TinyQuad Fox is the one I was thinking of at RCFM. Love mine!

Ninja Weasel Studios also has a "Feral" anthro fox that has a quad mode fro running on all fours.

Hello.

I am looking for a fox quad avatar. So I search in forum and find several threads, this one seems to be most on point.

I realize that I am posting to an old thread (yes, insert "old thread revived" here), but my question incorporates this thread.

Are these quad fox avatars still around (I am at work and cannot look inside Second Life until much later; hope some responses to look when home, these above and more, if any)? Any new good ones since the time this thread started?

I wish to follow the name I almost randomly chose. I now need a fox.

This appears to be the most recent thread on this topic. Sorry to revive dead thread.

Thank you.

Welcome to SL, Ginny!

Yes, all these quad foxes are still around and available, and some have even been updated to be even bettr than ever!

"Rocket City Furmeet" is still the one place you'll find most of these avatars. They have the best representation I have seen across all the various furry-related avatar vendors. he following are among what you'll be able to find at RCFM:

* The Dragon Keep TinyQuad Fox is probably the best quad fox for the least money, and is positively adorable. They aso have optional wings for them.

* The Jakkal's Werehouse V3 Advanced "Critters" Quad foxes are probably the most realistic and lifelike, with sculpted prim parts, but at a much higher cost.

===

"Grendel's Children" has their own unique store. Very reasonable prices, huge variety and some of the most unique avatars in SL, but tend more to avatars suited to fantasy scenes, like dragons and orcs and dire wolves. Fairly few anthro furries or natural quad animals, except for those quads that seem fearsome, like lions, tigers and wolves.

Thank you for responding and information :)

I will check out those two specific places to get idea, Dragon Keep and Werehouse. Then check out Rocket City Furmeet.

I have visited Grendal's before. I found it a little stuffed with avatars. Overwhelming. I will look at them again. Was hard to see everything. And for some reason I had to walk everywhere there.

What I meant was, if you search for and go to "Rocket City Furmeet", then in that one retail area you can see the vendors for BOTH Dragon's Keep and Jakkal's Werehouse, as well as many, many other furry avatar makers. One stop shopping!

Oh, I just meant that it might be easier to see those two types of foxes directly at their respective shops. I assume Furmeet has more than just foxes and wish to see their foxes first. Then see all the rest.
