For those intersted: The 'target customers for a start up tabletop role playing game company' appear to be:
1) Married women with children and single women with no children between the ages of 30 and 40. The target female consumer has at least some college education and makes between $40,000 and $60,000 a year. They prefer to purchase hardcopy manuals at their local gaming/comic bookstores, attend Conventions, and Live Action Role Play.
2) Men from various relationship statuses between the ages of 20 and 50 with at least some college education. Our target male audience is comfortable making purchasing on the Internet, hold a variety of jobs with a variety of incomes, and purchase their tabletop gaming manuals from a variety of places (including bookstores, comic stores, major websites like Amazon.com, and from actual publisher websites). They may or may not attend themed conventions, but the ones that do tend to spend very little (less than $50.00) or a lot ($300.00 or more).
Countries that participated:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungry, Israel, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Uruguay, and the USA.
I'll post the final link to all of the complied information in this thread when I'm done sometime next week.
Am I missing something major that I may have overlooked? Thoughts? Rants? Opinions?

Hey man, I said I would. Hope it helps someone somewhere (besides just me), and if not, atleast its sorta interesting. We 'geeks' are an educated sort, huh? Heh, we also need to get breeding or we're gonna die out. I got some humorous stuff too. My favorite was: "Native Language: C ++ "

Thanks Bunni. Of all the survey seekers who have promised to post their results this is the first one I remember seeing. Of course we may have scared the rest of them away.

Interesting results... Do you have any idea what portion of participants were from these forums? I get the feeling they tend to be older, more mature, and better educated than your average gamer. I ask because you list the age range of the target audience between 30 and 40 years old. That may be true of Second Life residents, but I think there is a pretty massive contingent of adolescents and 20-somethings that isn't being considered. They're just all playing WoW instead of SL. At least in my case, I did most of my table top rulebook purchasing when I was in high school or college. As my friends and I got older and family started to take priority, it became more difficult to schedule a time to meet for tabletop RP sessions like the old days.

From: Bunni Menizah Of the 217 requests sent out to local stores across the United States to fill out the store survey, 0% responded to the request and 0% filled out the survey. Now this one is shameful. Good work, Bunni. Thank you for posting these.

Good work, Bunni. Thank you for posting these. I thought so, too. Scott, A good portion of those 20 somethings are burning their copies of these books off the internet. (Which is also sad.....and illegal.) The 1st and 2nd generation gamers are the ones that are still consistantly purchasing the books from different places. Hence the target audience in women. I didn't put a way to figure out where everyone was taking the surveys from and now I'm wishing I had. The 30 to 40 year old women are the only ones that are spending money, but I only got about 50 surveys from women, so its really hard to say. The age range from guys is pretty wide.
