I'd love to put it back together as per the instructions yet half the important parts are missing.

I returned everything to my directory in one swoop from the land owner menu. Unfortunately, this put all the zyngo parts in the wrong places. I have a list of parts just in case it broke yet I don't see some of them in the inventory.

Could they have gone elsewhere?

I reckon some parts were probably coalesced - look for the icon indicating multiple separate prims lumped together - that'll be it.

When you rez that coalesced inventory item it's usually good to be in build mode so things are already selected. They rez in the same configuration as they were in when taken.

This is a little confusing. A zyngo machine is 1 object unless you intentionally unlink it, and there are no legitimate reasons to do that. Do you mean that several zyngo machines were taken at once and you can't find them all, or did you take one apart and now can't find the pieces? If you took it apart and can't figure it out how to put it together on your own, you'll probably have to throw it away. I'm pretty sure the creator will not provide support for dismantled machines.
