Speaking of the stages of SL 'enlightenment' I recently met someone who has been in the game since October 06' (the following story is tainted with drama but shortened) who immediately expressed to me admiration for my beauty yada yada yada...

Could not get enough of me telling me how they have longed to find a partner in the game... yada yada yada...

Takes me to this club where they work and shortly thereafter a long time friend shows up who they leave me to go dance with, I take my leave figuring I'd rather be building than standing around a club alone.

A week goes by and this person IM's me apologizing and hoping they can see me soon, I explain that I'm unavailable for the inconsitency they have shown so far, not willing to allow myself to be caught up to heartbreak hill,..... yada yada yada

An hour later they find someone else and partner with them.

At what stage of 'englightenment' do we become fickle drama parasites? :)

Oh, I suspect that happens LONG before they become SL residents.

Yes, I would agree with that reply. I have to imagine anyone who thrives on that kind of drama in SL...is probably equally as fickle and 'dramatic' IRL. I would suspect, however, that it's not quite as easy to draw folks into that kind of drama vortext IRL.....sadly, in SL.... in the year I've been here...I've seen soooo many decent non-drama types, get sucked into that BS. I don't get it..... I don't even want to delve into the psychology of it...I just stay away from it. *shrug*

It is hard dealing with humans sometimes behind the pixels.
Most tend to be very self occupied by their own wants, needs, desires and opinions.
There different degrees of drama I guess.
The avoidable and unavoidable its life.
I don't know if anyone entirely be they live 24/7 in pixel universe or fleshy reality can avoid it entirely.
I build and texture all the time, have few friends but it still keeps popping up.
I figure its because I am emotionally mess.
If my reality was different I see reality and participate in it differently.

I wanna say it happens the moment you hit the connect button. I've seen some pretty reasonable people RL side become screaming ranting lunatics when they meet the internet.

InSL u find every kind of no-life retard you could possibly imagine as well as a few even Tim Burton couldnt imagine u find 12yr-olds claiming to be 40 men claiming 2 be women, women claiming 2 make sense and every1 claiming 2 have ideas that are actually worth a damn if only someone would just listen to their unique innovative and exceptionally important idea

I am sorry I think they are calling the time and date when you became a part of the "drama"
Personally I don't know anyone who is immune from it.
I refuse to go to weddings personally.

They are saying that you making this thread means you are now obsessed with drama.

They also think they are being sly about it.

But she is in Chicago, so the time she posted it was 3:38pm. You are six hours ahead.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

I don't agree with the "at the tone the time was" idea- I don't think complaining about your friends becoming fickle drama parasites means you are a fickle drama parasite.

I think she makes a valid point - there are a lot of people who are overly prone to drama in SL.

Oh I think the fact that Julie quoted me then referenced poopmaster that threw me, at first I thought she was saying there was some connection between my comment and poopmaster :)

The only thing that comes to mind regarding this is yada, yada, yada. Hope that was clear.

My SL life was un dramatic and silent seafaring til sept of last year...then..with one fail swoop of being jilted and banned from a sim parcel..I have steadily and consistently been banned ejected..kicked to the curb..used lied to..etc ever since!!.....is it me?..or was the first experience an enlightenment to the fact that it had always been occuring and I was simply aloof? :(
