Hi - I'm not sure where else I should post this, and I'm praying someone can help. Today, after logging into SL, I discovered that everything I was doing - purchasing, dropping notecards, chatting etc. was happening twice. I've sent in an issue ticket, but I'm hoping someone might have a quick-and-dirty answer to what is going on. This isnt something I've experienced before. Is anyone else having this problem??
I have logged in and out repeatedly, cleared cache - done everything I can think of...

That's just being greedy!
It rings a bell. I'm sure I read a recent thread here exactly the same as that. I don't know the answer to the problem but maybe someone will remember.

"Yossarian syndrome" is often seen, and there are a pile of bugs filed in Jira about it. Generally people report transactions being charged twice, but there are a few other reports as well. ALL of them are almost immediately marked "resolved" with a note to "contact support for account-specific support", and you've already done that.
Personally, I don't remember seeing any advice in the forums as to how to clear it up.
Sorry! .

Sorry! . Great way for LL to keep it under the carpet...mark it resolved and tell people to contact them without issuing any public information or acknowledgment of a problem.

wireless connections can cause this too.... or dropped packets (the confirmation of action doesn't get recieved, so the action is resent)... if you aren't on wireless, then avoid transactions for a bit and test it again later.

Yep it is definitely the wireless thing... have to say, vendors were amazing at offering funds back, which was just so nice of them.
Thankfully, the issue is resolved and over with!! Thanks everyone for their help!

From: SuezanneC Baskerville What was the problem and the solution? problem: packet stutter, resulting in repeated actions, caused by wireless connections solution: use a wired connection, or improve your signal to the wireless.

solution: use a wired connection, or improve your signal to the wireless. I was hoping for a response from the OP as to exactly what she did in her case.
