Is there anyway to do this? The yellow highlights make tiny prim work very tedious. I thought there used to be.
TIA

it will be in the advanced menu, under rendering. I think it's called 'highlight selected' or something like that.

There are some Debug Settings (also accessed under Advanced) that adjust the thickness of those lines and maybe transparency or something. Unfortunately I can't get in-world to track them down right now... may be listed somewhere under UI or XUI.
(ETA: Many of the Debug Settings require a restart of the viewer to take effect.) _____________________

Is there anyway to do this? The yellow highlights make tiny prim work very tedious. I thought there used to be. It's annoying, I agree, and there was at least one JIRA issue on it that was denied. http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-912 Anyway, look in the file SecondLife/app_settings/settings.xml Search for the "SelectionHighlightThickness". Dividing the default value by 10 had a good effect for me. The only downside is that it also affects the thickness of property lines. _____________________

There are a number of settings available for the selection highlight, adjustable in Advanced, Debug Settings, as described at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Debug_Settings in the Second Life wiki.
SelectionHighlightAlpha = Opacity of selection highlight (0.0 = completely transparent, 1.0 = completely opaque) SelectionHighlightAlphaTest = Alpha value below which pixels are displayed on selection highlight line (0.0 = show all pixels, 1.0 = show now pixels) SelectionHighlightThickness = Thickness of selection highlight line (fraction of view distance) SelectionHighlightUAnim = Rate at which texture animates along U direction in selection highlight line (fraction of texture per second) SelectionHighlightUScale = Scale of texture display on selection highlight line (fraction of texture size) SelectionHighlightVAnim = Rate at which texture animates along V direction in selection highlight line (fraction of texture per second) SelectionHighlightVScale = Scale of texture display on selection highlight line (fraction of texture size) I believe you have to reboot to see at least some of the effects of those settings. Going to Google and using second life wiki debug settings as the search term will produce the wiki page with a bunch of the settings and explanations high in the search results. _____________________

build bigger?
(Always irk me that peoples are obsessed by making tiny things nobody can see unless they zoom all the way in and reduce their FOV, waste of time and resource...) _____________________
