Trouble installing old viewer

SL is being a pain on my oldest computer, and since I have used Nicholaz on this machine before (until I decided to give the new SL viewer a go a while back) I wanted to go back to Nicholaz to see if it improved things. After un-installing SL i go to download and install the older version needed for Nicholaz (Eye Candy), but halfway in the install I get "Error opening file for writing". Downloaded the 1.19.1 version again, but get the same error when installing.

Has anyone encountered this and know where the problem may lie? Is this version available for download elsewhere?

i use F myself..i didn't have to uninstall 1.21 i just reinstalled 1.19.4 and and reinstalled eyecandy-F and it fired right up..try that version and see how you do..
you need 1.19.4 for it though..it wrote right over 1.21

I see I lost a digit.. the one I am having trouble installing is 1.19.1.4... Is that the one you are refering to? I don't see any 1.19.4 on the list of older viewers.

yes i believe so..l'll look real quick.yes it's 1.19.1.4. i don't think E works with that version..EC-F was meant for 1.19.1.4 patch if i remember right.i think E was the earlier version which i don't think will work with 1.19.1.4.

Also i should mention that i still have my original 1.19.1.4 file when it came out..you may be getting a corrupt file from the site if it keeps giving you an error..

Are you downloading from the links on Nicholaz' site?

Yes I was, but after rebooting the computer it installed with no problem. Should have tried that before asking! *smacks self*
