I'm helping a guy edit his appearance... he's wearing the "boy next door" shape, but looks ruthed... I'm telling him to Edit Appearance but he can't choose that option in right click/pie menu, or Edit/Appearance. Is he Ruthed? I'm going to have him do a rebake... any other suggestions on why the Edit Appearance is grayed out?

Help!

He's from Iraq so English isn't his first language but I've never seen a complete inability to not edit appearance, either from the pie menu or the Edit menu.

Yeah, you can be stuck unable to get into appearance mode if your assets haven't all been downloaded yet.

Advanced->Character->Character Tests->Test Male will get a generic look avoiding the remote asset stuff, that may be an OK starting point if the usual things (try moving to a different sim, clear cache and relog) don't unstick it first.

that was my next step Viktoria, thanks... it's actually getting him to that step (the menus, etc) is mind boggling.

Will keep posted. Thanks so far!
