Has anyone else had any problems with these. All mine worked fine, deeded to group on group land. Now, you can't change the channels on any of them. This only seems to have been since I started using 1.20. Anyone else?

Mine works fine, however I just for the first time rezzed it and deeded it. Maybe take it, re rez it and deed it again?

Notecard

Joss, check and make sure your notecard (the one that has the stations listed and their URLs) is still there. I spent a couple days adding stations to mine, and then one day the notecard disappeared. I didn't save a backup of it, either, so now I have to do it from scratch. Edit the radio and look under the Content tab....you should have a notecard called Stations or something like that.

The stations won't change? Or it won't even let you work the buttons?

Did you try taking it back and rerezzing it? Also, go find a URL you know works and try it. Internet stations are quite bad about going off air or changing URLs without notice.

Well, it's all very odd.

With a group deeded radio that is already set out that has been working fine, you touch it, the menu pops up. You pick a station, it chats it has changed the station, but no sound. Tried several channels, exactly the same.

Take the radio back to inventory, and set out again. Curiously, when not deeded to group you get the menu and can change the station, which you couldn't do before, but still no music. Deed it to group, then nothing happens at all when you touch it, no menu, nothing. The script is there, the notecard with the stations is there, although you now can't even reset the script or open the notecard in the non-deeded version. It's like they are just broken!

Now, this is with a copyable radio that I bought, advertised as "works on group land and copy as many as you like". It turned out not to be copyable and didn't work on group land at all, but not to worry, I was promised as many copies of the non-copyable version as I needed. A week or so ago I asked for another half-dozen copies, only to be told that I would now have to pay for them. So, what I bought obviously wasn't what I thought I bought as it didn't actually work on group land and wasn't actually copyable, like it was supposed to be.

I was a little pissed off at this, so went away and made my own. Got a script from the scripting library. Had to tweak that a little, but got it going (more by luck than judgement). Spent an hour or so making up a notecard with station URL's. Stuck it all together in a prim, and hey presto, instant radio. If I had known it was that easy I would have done it in the first place. OK, the plywood cube doesn't look very pretty, but I can probably fix that. I have a couple of these out, so I went round, reset the scripts, and these work fine. Makes no sense.

With two group-deeded radios, one that from the description (having to get one with different perms) could be exactly the one you describe, and another a home made deal, I've found that dropping the scripts into a fresh prim makes everything work once deeded.

Apparently some prim property got fubared at some point, in a way that interferes with dialogs on deed stuff, but newly created prims, but newly created ones don't seem to have the problem. And of course, there is no consistent pattern to what prims are borked :p

This is very interesting because I experienced the exact thing about a week ago with one of my tenants and a radio I scripted myself, it worked fine on all of the lots I owned except for the one my tenant was on. As it turns out a call to Concierge support resulted in them restarting the region and that fixed the problem.
