I have been busy making new items for my shop, but every time I click on 'Show in search' it unchecks itself again. My island is checked to 'Show in Search', and older products can be found in Search; but not new ones. I tried to contact Concierge Support with a new Ticket, but guess what? It isn't working! How can I possibly sell all my lovely new things without them showing up in Search? Any positive and helpful suggestions are welcome! Not AGAIN!!! I hope it isn't as bad as it was the last time.
I was hoping when it happened to me a little while ago that it was just a fluke. Ah well.
Here's something that may work - take a box that you've used before to set to search with success. Rename/retexture the box and put your new merchandise inside, and it should be okay. I put two new things out at my store tonight and one thing had the search problem and the other didn't. On the first thing, I reused a box that I had used for another item and just renamed/retextured/repacked it (it was easier than making a new box and setting it and putting the notecard and landmark inside). That box showed in search, but the new tree I put out didn't.

From: Rhaorth Antonelli i also started a thread about this too, and submitted a ticket the reply was they are aware of it, it is a reaccuring bug waiting for more info heh heh i started one even a few days before yours. best advice so far is to copy an existing box with the box alredy checked, and revise it..... or, if you want it unchecked.... delete prim and start over.

it is sooo much easier to just copy the existing sales boxes LOL (edited to clarify, copy the existing boxes without having to rez it each time) making a copy using shift drag causes it to lose that setting for now they will stay out of search, don't think being in search was helping me much
just another bug to add to the collection

There is a JIRA for this - please vote. - you need to login first, and then the Vote link will appear near the bottom of the left-hand menu. Torley has answered on the JIRA and suggested (also) putting in a Support Ticket: From: Torley Linden PLEASE BE SURE to mention the region/server version where this happens to you (go to Help menu > About Second Life to get that info)

Thank you for your kind replies. I am so glad that it is not just my own error, for a change!
I shall try the box trick which you recommend.
