Hello,
The hover text over some of my items seems to be having trouble. When I log in, sometimes it is showing and sometimes it is not. If I reset it, sometimes it shows and sometimes it doesn't. Is there a known issue with hover text? I have never had any trouble with hover text and use a basic script to add hover text to objects. This just started a few days ago. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Not a "known issue" afaik, but I had teh same thing the other day. Thought it was just me. Nice to know I'm not alone If I see this happen again, I'll file a Bug Report, but not sure how to get a repro on things jsut not showing up intermitantly. *Shrugs* ~Jessy EDIT: Oh, and the day before the text went "missing" it was double displaying. One line above teh other. I thought my script was screwed but resetting it produced teh same results.

There is a known issue with hover text on non-root prims - see http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-1448One of many bugs introduced with 1.17 (not being able to open embedded notecards being another), which are still waiting to be fixed. Matthew

Please vote for this issue on jira and add comments if you can find ways to duplicate the problem.

Voted.
I still want a way to vote for ALL and then just take votes from the small % of things that don't need fixed.
The fact that 99% of the Residents don't even know JIRA exists and half of those that do, don't use it, makes this system worthless imo. Every update I see JIRA entries fixed, but those that are didn't really have high votes/priority anyway.
I'd really like to know what "logic" *cough* LL uses to determine what they are going to fix. And if "Tao of Linden" is the answer, they can stuff that answer in the appropriate JIRA entry.

Dumb question here about hover text...
Some boxed items I get have a hover text script as part of the package (usually, along with a store landmark and maybe a copy of the item's ad image).
Is this script useful in some way? I've just been deleting them...

~Jessy My hope when voting for things that are client side problems (like this probably is) is that a highly voted one will catch the attention of one of the open source contributors. Of course it would be nice if the coder who broke this in 1.17 would recognize it and fix it themselves.
