A friend of mine had some one rez an object on her land. The object does not count against her prim count, and does not show up in the object section of about land. So she can not return it. How does one get rid of an object like this. Is there a way to remove this object.

Thanks to any one that can help

Could it be a ghost prim that just hasn't gone away yet? Though ghost prims are usually invisible and they're the ones your avatar stumbles over in stores that have been rearranged.
Your friend might try auto returning it a few times to see if it goes away like it should. If it stays around for a long while, it would time to file a bug report.

The person who originally rezzed out couldn't take back or delete it either?

If it is not showing up in the object count it should go away next sim restart.

Thanks for responding so quickly. She thinks it was placed there by someone in Sl that is angry with her. So she can not ask them to remove it, because she is afraid it will only stir the pot. She has already muted the individual. Perhaps you are correct that it will be removed after the next sim restart.

She cannot just right-click on it and delete or return it? If so, then it might be a ghost-prim as was suggested elsewhere in the thread.

It's also possible that, if it's a large object, its center is located on a neighboring parcel, in which case she can ask her neighbor to delete or return it.

Also if it is a griefer object she can AR the object. That sometimes gets a Linden to come around and get rid of it (though, not necessarily quickly).

most likely somebody anchored it to the surrounding land, this is an old greifer trick. try IMing the people who own the land next door and ask them to do a basic land return
